Blogging 101

How ‘GOOD’ I was at achieving my Monthly Goals!

Hello Loves, I have been extremely occupied with my day job and haven’t really had a chance to update my blogs for the month. APOLOGIES! Anyway, a month ago, on April 1st, I posted a blog about my MONTHLY GOALS for the month of April. To be honest, I kind of made a fool out of myself by confidently posting it. Since there is no such thing that I actually executed at making sure I completed my goals. NEVER MIND. Let’s just (just in case meaning) see how far we reached, chuckles.

Here’s a quick sappy update on my monthly goals:

30 Blogs for 30 Days (Minimum) – Duh! I hardly wrote any blogs this month – 4 to be specific… Following is the list of blogs that went live in April.

Receiving 500 FB Likes on T.A.L FB Page – I am on 50 likes / follows on my Facebook page with 30% engagement rate.

Gaining 500 Followers on Twitter – 13 followers and 33 tweets. a few Retweets by fellow twitter peeps to be added.

Engaging with 500 Followers on Instagram – This one worked pretty fine compared to Facebook and Twitter. I gained 165 followers on Instagram

Investing time (race against time phrase) in Pinterest – I  could manage to pin a lot. Also, I am on 141 followers on Pinterest

Taking time for myself – This was for meditation, yoga and quick naps. I could take (take with a grain of salt idiom) power naps of 5 to 6 mins at work to de-stress myself.

Exercising and walking at the least 10,000 steps a day – Out of the 30 days in April, I managed to walk about 4500 – 5000 steps for about 15-20 days. NOT BAD!

Creating Mandalas and Doodles for Fiddled Doodles –  I was completely out of touch with my mandalas. However, I managed to sell two travel articles instead.

Creating better quality photographs and saying NO to use of Google Images: I wish to avoid any kind of copyright infringement. I also intend to hone my photography skills that add a personal touch to the blogs this time. This was one thing that worked in my favor. I used free stock images and a majority of TAL blog included my personal photographs.  I also did a quick DIY Guide on flatlay photography and tried my hands on the same.

Reading 10 books in a month: I was able to read 11 books this month, 9 as a profession and 2 for freelance book reviews. You can read one of the reviews posted on the blog for Life and The Grey Notes.

PHEW!! I am embarrassed. But I am going to conclude by saying that the same remains my monthly goal for May. Also, I’ll want to add up more to this list. A blog on the same will go live on 1st May.

Were you able to achieve your monthly goals or did a PROCRASTINATING BUG bite you too?

Every time YOU comment I come to know that you’ve read this post till the end. This adds value to my blog.

You are always so hardworking. Looking up at you, even I started to plan up things and do them accordingly, but as usual I failed. I’m still trying to achieve the monthly goals though. Anyways, I always loved what you write. Cheers!
